Celebrating the launch of our new book titled ‘Anticipatory Governance: Shaping a Responsible Future’ by the UAE Minister of Economy, HE Abdulla Bin Touq at Investopia. We were fortunate to also have H.E. Alia Bint Abdulla Al Mazrouei, UAE Minister of State for Entrepreneurship at this event. I would like to thank the Minister for his support of MBR School of Government and the work we do for good policy and governance. More in the press here https://lnkd.in/dWjk4XPQ
This book project was a two year journey and it would not be possible without the co-editors and the authors for their collaborative work. This is my 9th edited book - the first one was in 2010, one of 12 books! Not only do we contribute to thought leadership, but we preserve organizational and historical memories - in printed copies (in addition to online ones). The ability to have a printed copy is a luxury and is so important at a time when you can change the historical narrative when everything is online. One of the stories we have is that of Latvian independence. Through these projects, we captured the rich experience and wisdom of our authors. AI can't do that yet!
Since this topic is so important at this time of great geopolitical uncertainty, the MBR School of Government has just launched an Anticipatory Governance Dialogue Series. The first online panel was with Edward DeSeve and David C. Wilson. More sessions are coming where you will get to meet some authors and other experts in this area. Watch this space!
